学生贷款行为准则

esball国际平台客户端 participates in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program. This program includes the Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Students 贷款, 直接毕业生加贷款, 以及直系家长PLUS贷款. Upon request from students and parents, private 贷款s are also certified and processed for students. To comply with the 2008 Higher Education Opportunity Act, esball国际平台客户端 has instituted a 学生贷款行为准则 to ensure the integrity of the administration of all student 贷款 programs. Clarkson is committed to a fair and equitable process that is committed to the highest standards. To this end, Clarkson adheres to the following principles:

1. 禁止分享收入
   • esball国际平台客户端 has instituted a ban on “revenue-sharing arrangements.” The Higher Education Opportunity Act defines a “revenue-sharing arrangement” as any arrangement between an institution and a lender under which the lender (1) makes 贷款s to students attending the institution (or to the families of those students), (2) the institution recommends the lender or the 贷款 products of the lender and, (3)交换, the lender pays a fee or provides other material benefits, including revenue or profit-sharing, 致机构, 致其官员, 员工, 或代理人.
   • 没有官, 受托人 or employee of the University shall accept anything of value from any lending institution, 担保人, or servicer in exchange for any advantage or consideration sought by the lending institution, 担保人或服务人员.
2. Prohibition on Contracting Arrangements
   • 没有官, 受托人, or employee of the University will accept from any lender, 担保人或服务者任何费用, payment or other financial benefit as compensation for any type of consulting arrangement or other contract to provide services to or on behalf of a lender, 担保人或服务人员.
3. Prohibition on Offers of Funds for Private 贷款
   • 没有官, 受托人, or employee of the University will request or accept from any lender, 担保人或服务人员 any offer of funds to be used for private educational 贷款s, including funds for an “opportunity pool 贷款”, to students in exchange for the University providing concessions or promises to the lender, 担保人或服务人员 for a specific number of Title IV 贷款s made, 被保险人, 或担保, 指定的贷款额, or a preferred lender arrangement. Prohibited financial benefits include (but are not limited to) revenue-sharing, 费用, 支付, 印刷成本 or below-cost computer hardware or software, 现金, 礼物, 股票, 以上行程, 娱乐, 住宿, 餐费或交通费.
   • An “opportunity pool 贷款” is defined as a private education 贷款 made by a lender to a student or parent that involves a payment by the institution to the lender for extending credit to the student.

5. 首选贷款机构名单
   • esball国际平台客户端 participates in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program which provides student and parent 贷款s through the US Department of Education.
   • esball国际平台客户端 currently does not utilize a preferred lender list for private educational 贷款s. No lender is given a preferred status or is given any advantage in securing potential borrowers. Students and parents are free to select the lending institution of their choice.
   • esball国际平台客户端 will not recommend, select, assign or refer a student to a particular lender or refuse to certify, 或者延迟认证, any 贷款 based on the borrower’s selection of a particular lender. 如果在将来, esball国际平台客户端 institutes a preferred lender list, this code of conduct will be revised to reflect the change.
6. Advisory Board Compensation Rules
   • No esball国际平台客户端 employee in the Office of 金融援助, 学生账户, Student Administrative Services or an employee who otherwise has responsibilities with respect to educational 贷款s, and who serves on an advisory board, 委员会, or group established by a lender, 担保人或服务人员 shall receive anything of value for such service.
7. 工作人员协助
   • esball国际平台客户端 shall not request or accept any staff assistance from any lender, 担保人或服务人员 in the entire Student Administrative Services Area including the Office of 金融援助 and the Call Center.
